Can the Bulls really be " THAT TEAM" to take the CROWN?

The NBA insiders have spoken....... as the Power Rankings were released monday. Some may be shocked to see the Chicago Bulls took the top spot. Looking at this team as a whole I am not entirely surprised they recieved the top spot. Their has been one player this season who has stood out on this roster. Jimmy Butler has been the heart and sole of this Bulls team for the first 30 games of the season, averaging around 22 points  a game and along side Derrick Rose. This team currently sits  at the number three spot in the East at 22-9, but has won 6 straight. What is to be said about this team? They are nothing short of unstoppable. Because of the dept of their roster they didn't know at first how to balance everyones talents but 30 games in, it seems as if this team has hit their stride. Clear the Bulls organization has more talent than they could have even predicted or expected. With a healthy Derrick Rose, who's minutes are increasing each and every game and a sensational player such as Jimmy Butler, only the Bulls know their capabilities. If those two consistently score 40points on a night in and nigh out bases, every team in the east should be very scared. That is not to mention the contrabution of the bulls bench and the addition of Aaron Brooks to this team. This team is absolutely loaded for scoring inside the paint and beyond the arch along with their defensive capabilities.
With the recent struggles of the cavs organization, the bulls are the only clear team in the east who has the ability to take it all. That is not to say that the West doesn't have great team, the bulls just are that good, they don't know how good they are. Just last year this bulls team looks something similar to the San Antonio Spurs team who took it all. Having a strong bench, the ability to have scoring every where on the floor, and a strong defensive presence will give any team the upper hand in this league. That is exactly what the Bulls have.

The clear picture is every team in the East should be fearing the Chicago Bulls because they are one of the more underrated teams in the league.Currently their being overlooked because of their record. I will be keeping a close eye on this team as the season progresses to see how they finish in the east heading into the playoffs.

Trade talks in December?

Boy has this been a interesting week in the NBA from the Lakers beating the Warriors. That game was ridiculous but on the behalf of the warriors. Now on to what needs to be discussed. This week has been a big week with trade talks and last dealing before the end of the year. Even though the trade deadline isn't until February the Mavericks could wait any longer. The urgency for a point guard for seeded any deadline. The missing peace to their already powerful starting five was a true point guard. Rajon Rondo would give them that and the faster they could trade to get him the better their chances were to be one of the top three teams in the west. The mavs have immediately turned into a top contender in the west although I wouldn't put them at the number one or two spot. The mavs defensively have to prove themselves before I would even consider moving them up to the two or one spot. With the addition of Rondo their defensive efforts should improve dramatically but until I see it I will not say this team will compete for the title of the Western Conference. On to some ever growing bigger news in the NBA, the release of Josh Smith over the past day has stirred an array of different feelings. Since Smith has played for Pistons his numbers have increasingly declined. The losing efforts of the Pistons franchise more than likely played into why his game has turned least effective, but the Houston Rockets saw this as a great opportunity to get a great player for a very low price. The Houston Rockets reportedly signed the veteran forward for 2 million over 1 year. That is basically chunk change for the rockets, considering the fact the rockets tried to sign Josh Smith back during the off season in 2013. The biggest question that has aroused is what will Smith bring to this team ? The rockets have eliminated a mid range game and have gone straight to a three point shot which is something that is not apart of Smith's game. Josh Smith is a player that dominates in the paint and has a low post game which is something the Rockets have lacked to this point. Although Smith was on the market as a free agent and was practically worth chunk change, This wasn't a wise decision by the Rocket. The Rockets are on set to be one of the best three point shooting teams ever.  Unless they plan to change their entire style of play they have basically wasted money. If its not broke don't fix it. At this point in the season, nearly 1/3 finish why would you change every thing that your team has known and stands for.

Basically the mavs did what they needed to do to be considered a top contender and the rockets just got a super star player because he was at a cheap price. Dwight Howard for all we know could be dealing on the side to his former AAU teammate because the rockets got him for so cheap. All in all it was just down right not smart decision. Will see what happens as we get closer to the trade deadline to see what other teams will be able to make a steal to advance their roster or just make dumb decision.

NBA THURSDAY

The CLEVELAND CAVALIERS vs BROOKLYN NETS . The Nets started the season ruff and with a new coach added to the mix things turned from bad to worst. That is saying it nicely. This team has lacked offense the entire season which might be in part because of the aging roster of this team. Kevin Garnett as your starting power forward will not win you a NBA championship. For that matter it might not even get you into the Eastern Conference Finals. At this point, if your not getting into the Eastern Conference finals your team has major work to do. On the other hand the Cavaliers have turned their season around for the better. A team that had a rough start to the season is now a top Contender in the east. As said before, if your not a top contender in the Eastern Conference your team is not very good. You could say that for the west but that wouldn't be entirely true. The Cavaliers are now sitting top of the Central Eastern Division 12-7 as they are half a game in front of the Bulls. What is that to say about the Cavaliers? ....... They're suppose to be leading the East. If you have the best player in the world you have no excuse. And also lets not forget the fact that Tristan Thompson, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Erving are all on this roster. Thats not to say this team is in complete cruise control at this point but you have all the cards in your favor.

The bottom line is the Cavaliers are finally finding their way and the Nets are lost and will stay lost until they wake up and see that they are digressing.

The Cavaliers would sweep by the Nets 110-88. Chasing the fourth place spot in the East.
