NCAA BASKETBALL THURSDAY

Today's game of the night for the NCAA were the UCONN Huskies(The University if Conneticut ) vs PROVIDENCE Friars ( Providence college) . The Uconn huskies came into this game with the record of 13-5 and the Providence friars came into this game with a record of 10-10. The first half the Huskies came out with a very strong lead and out scored the Friars 33-32. The second half the Friars came back and out score the Huskies 37-36, which sent the game into over time . The huskies would soon go on to out score the friars in over time winning it. Leading scorers for the Friars Kadeem Batts 20 points , LaDontae Henton 13 rebounds , and Vincent Council 10 asst. Leading scorers for the Huskies were Ryan Boatright with 19 points and 7 asst and DeAndre Daniels 7 rebound. The Huskies would go on and win it 82-79

NBA Wednesday

Tonight's game of the evening were the MIAMI HEAT vs BROOKLYN NETS . The Miami heat came into this game with a record 28-13 ( number one record in the east) and the Brooklyn nets came into this game with a record of 27-18. Both teams were at the top of the eastern conference so this game was a very important game for both teams. The heat come out with a very possessing lead in the first quarter out scoring the nets 30-20. Second quarter the nets came back out scoring the heat 29-19. Second half the heat came out with strong momentum and continued it in the third quarter and out scored the nets 36-14 . Fourth quarter the nets tried to come back but it was to little to late ....Leading scorers for the Miami heat were Lebron James with 24 points , 9 rebounds , and 7 ast. Leading scorers for the Nets were Brook Lopez with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Joe Johnson with 6 asst. The heat would go on to win it 105-85 helping to extended there lead in the east

NBA Monday

Today's key matchup in the NBA for monday was the INDIANA PACERS vs DENVER NUGGETS. The Pacers came in to this game with a record of 26-18. The Nuggets came into this game with a record of 27-18. These teams were neck and neck as far as records were concerned. First quarter the Pacers came out with a possessing lead out scoring the Nuggets 29-24. Second quarter the Nuggets came towering back 31-24. Second half the Nuggets continued there momentum and out scored the Pacers 27-21. Fourth quarter the Pacers came back but it was to little to late 27-20. Leading scores for the pacers were Paul George with 23 points, Roy Hibbert with 11 rebounds , and George Hill with 6 asst. Leading scores for the nuggets were Danilo Gallinari with 27 points and Kosta Koufas with 11 rebounds . This game was a chest match at times but the Nuggets would prevail and would go on to win it 101-102.

NBA Sunday (part 2)

The second great game today in the NBA was the OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDAY vs LOS ANGELES LAKERS . The Thunder came into this game being one of the top two teams in the west. The Lakers came into this game struggling to be one of the top 8 teams in there conference. The Thunder had a record of 34-10 and the Lakers had a record of 18-25. The first quarter the lakers came out and were ready to play out scoring the Thunder 27-23. Second quarter the Thunder regained there strength and recovered out scoring the Lakers 30-25. Second half the lakers came back out scoring the thunder 23-22. The lakers would once again out score the Thunder 30-21 . Leading scorers for the Lakers were Kobe Bryant with 21 points and 14 asst. Leading scorers for the thunder were Kevin Durant with 35 points and Rusell Westbrook with 9 rebounds and 13 ast. The lakers would go on to win it 105-96

NBA Sunday

Today was a great day for the NBA. The top game of the day was a rematch of last years FINAL in the east . The MIAMI HEAT vs BOSTON CELTICS . The Heat had a record of 28-12 and the celtics had a record of 20-23. During the game the celtics found out that there number on there team and one of the best point guards in the league had tore his ACL and would be out for the year so they knew they had to win this game for him. (Rajon Rondo) The first quarter of the game the heat come out with a purpose they out score the celtics 26-22. Second quarter the celtics come back out scoring the heat 23-19 . Second half the Heat come striking back out scoring the Celtics 23-19. Fourth quarter the Celtics came back and out scored the heat 23-19 winning the game. Leading scorers for the Heat Lebron James with 34 points. Leading scorers for the Celtics Kevin Garnett with 24 points and Paul Pierce with 13 rebounds and 10 ast. The Celtics would go on to win it .

NBA Wednesday Night

Tonight was a great night for the NBA . The top game of the evening was The TORONTO RAPTORS VS MIAMI HEAT. The Miami heat come into this game with a record of 26-12 and the Toronto raptors come into this game with a record of 15-26. The first quarter the raptors come out with a bang and ready to play , they out score the heat 28 to 22. Second quarter the heat come towering back but it wasn't enough they get out scored in the second quarter by the raptors 29-28. Second half the Miami heat come out with a vingance scoring 38 points in the 3 quarter and in the fourth quarter would try to catch the raptors late in the fourth quarter by scoring 21 points , which would lead the game into over time. In over time the Miami heat crush raptors by out scoring them 14-7 . Leading scores for Miami heat were Dwayne Wade with 35 points, Chris Bosh with 12 rebounds, and Lebron James with 11 ast. Leading scores for the raptors were Alan Anderson with 20 points , Amir Johnson with 6 rebounds , and DeMar DeRozan 7 asst. The heat would go on to win it 123-116.

AFC Championship Game

Today the AFC championship game was played. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS vs BALTIMORE RAVENS. The AFC had a little bit of a shock last week when the Baltimore Ravens beat the number one seed in the AFC, the Denver Broncos.This game against these two teams (patriots and ravens) is a rematch of last years AFC CHAMPIONSHIP game. The Patriots would win that last AFC Championship game and would go on to the Superbowl, but would lose the the NFC Champion the New York Giants. The New England Patriots came into this game as a number 2 seed in the AFC and the Baltimore Ravens came into this game as a number 4 seed. The New England Patriots got out to a short lead in the first quarter out scoring the Ravens by 3 points. Second quarter the Ravens finally got started and scored 7 points but the patriots were still leading and out scored the Ravens 10-7 in the second quarter . Second half the Ravens came out ready to play and realized that if they wanted to win they had to dominate the patriots in the second half. The Ravens out scored the Patriots 7-0. And the Ravens domination continued into the fourth quarter out scoring the Patriots 14-0. Leading scorers for the Patriots were Tom Brady with 320 yards and 1 touchdown, Stevan Ridley 18 carriers and 70 yards, and Wes Welker 8 receptions, 117 yards, and 1 touchdown. Leading scorers for the Patriots Joe Flacco had 240 yards and 3 touchdowns, Bernard Pierce 9 carriers and 52 yards, and Torrey Smith 4 receptions for 69 yards. The Ravens would go on to win it and will advance to the 47th Superbowl.

NFC Championship Game

Today the NFC championship game was held and the two teams in the game were the ATLANTA FALCONS vs. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS. The falcons came into this game as a number one seed and the 49 ers came in as a number two seed in the NFC. This was the dream match-up for the NFL because the number 1 and number 2 seed went head to head to see who was the best. The Falcons got out to a early lead against the 49ers leading the 49 ers in the first quarter 10-0. Second quarter the 49ers finally got into there rhythm and began to score points but the Falcons were still ahead. Both teams scored 14-14 points in the second quarter. Second half the 49ers came out wanting to prove that they were the second seed but they could get to the Superbowl. They out scored the falcons 7-0. In the fourth quarter it was all the 49 ers out scoring the falcons 7-0. (The 49ers Frank Gore was sensational getting both touchdown for the 49ers in the second half.) Leading scorers for the Falcons were Matt Ryan with 396 yards and 3 touchdowns, Jacquizz Rodgers 10 carries and 32 yards, and Julio Jones 11 receptions , 182 yards and 2 touchdowns. Today's game of the afternoon was the CHICAGO BULLS VS TORONTO RAPTORS. The Chicago bulls came into this game with a record of 21-15 and the Toronto raptors came into this game with a record of 14-24. The Bulls and the Raptors came into the game knowing they had to win. First quarter the Bulls came out blazing the floor, out scoring the Raptors 29-22. Second quarter the Chicago bulls continue there great energy and out score the raptors once again 23-22. Second half the raptors came back and out score the bulls 29-27. Fourth quarter the raptors out score the bulls 27-21 which sent the game into overtime. In over time the bulls would come out with the win. Leading scorers for the bulls were Carlos Boozer with 36 points, Joakim Noah with 14 rebounds , and Loul Deng with 7 asst. NBA TUESDAY NIGHT

Tonight's most interesting match-up was the LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS vs HOUSTON ROCKETS. These two teams are within the top six teams in the west so this was a very key match-up and a interesting game. The first quarter began with both teams coming out with great energy but the Rockets would out score the Clippers 29 to 28. The second quarter both teams would tie each other with points accumulated with getting 30 points in the second quarter. Second half the Clippers came out with a drive, out scoring the Rockets 32 to 18. The Rockets knowing they were behind ,came out in the fourth quarter ready to blaze the floor but scoring 32 points , but it was to little to late the clippers scored 27 points in the fourth quarter and would go on to win. Leading scorers for the Rockets were James Harden with 23 points, Omer Asik with 9 rebounds, and Jeremy Lin with 10 asst. NBA MONDAY NIGHT

Today's most interesting match-up in the NBA was the MIAMI HEAT VS UTAH JAZZ. The Utah Jazz's record was 20-19 ( a little over 500). The Miami Heat have struggled , but were still one of the top teams in the east , their record was 24-11. The first quarter started with the Utah Jazz out scoring the Heat 30 to 25. From then on they dominated the whole game. The second quarter the Jazz again out and scored against there opponent 29 to 19. Second half the Heat once again get out scored by the Jazz 25-21. The Heat knowing there significantly behind,come out with a vingence and ready to play they out score the Jazz 32-20 but it was to late. The leading scoriers for the Heat were Lebron James with 32 and Mario Chalmers leading the group with 7 asst. NFL SUNDAY (playoffs)

This afternoon two teams start the after noon off with the Sunday football match-ups. The first teams of the day were the ATLANTA FALCONS and SEATTLE SEAHAWKS. The falcons enter this game as the number 1 seed in the play offs in the NFC. The first quarter begins with the Atlanta falcons scoring 10 unanswered points against the Seahawks. The Falcons domination against the Seahawks continued on to the second quarter out scoring the Seahawks by another 10 points. Second half the Seahawks come out with something to prove and showing everyone that the game isn't over and to not underestimate them. The Seahawks and the falcons both scored 7 points in the 3 rd quarter. In the fourth quarter the Seahawks knowing there significantly behind scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to have a one point lead over the falcons leaving them with 20 seconds left on the clock. The falcons threw two passes to get them in field goal range to kick a field goal that they would make to give them the win over the Seahawks. Leading scores for the falcons were Matt Ryan 250 yards and 3 touchdowns, Turner 14 carriers 98 yards , White 5 receptions and 76 yards . NFL SATURDAY NIGHT (playoffs) (1)

Today were the first two games of the Divisional round of the NFL Playoffs. The first match-up were the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos. The Denver Broncos were a number one team in the AFC and the Baltimore Ravens were a number four seed. In the first quarter both teams come out ready to battle both scoring 14 points in the first quarter (two of  touch downs were offensive, one was a kick off returned for a touchdown and the last one was a defensive touchdown). The second quarter both teams came back and scored 7 points (both of those touchdowns were offensive touchdowns). Second half both teams come out ready to battle once again both scoring 7 points a piece.(Denver's touchdown was a kickoff returned for a touchdown and Baltimore's was a offensive touchdown)  The fourth quarter both teams scored 7 points again so that sent the game into over time (both touchdowns were offensive touchdowns). The game went threw two over time periods before the Baltimore Ravens offense drove the ball down the field and scored a field goal. Leading Scores for the Broncos Peyton Manning threw for 290 yards and 3 touchdowns, Ronnie Hillman 22 carriers for 83 yards , and Eric Decker 6 receptions for 84 yards . The second round of games on January 9 starting with the Houston Rockets vs New Orleans Hornets. The Houston Rockets record was 21-14 and the New Orleans Hornets record was 9-25. The Houston Rockets had a significant advantage over the New Orleans Hornets. The First quarter the Rockets came out to get a very commanding lead by out scoring the New Orleans Hornets 22-18. The second quarter the Hornets toward back out scoring the Rockets 16-14. Second half, The Rockets out scored the Hornets 33-25. In the Fourth quarter the Hornets significantly dominated the Rockets 29-10.(the rockets ran out of gas) The Leading scores for the Rockets were James Harden with 25 points, Patrick Patterson 10 rebounds , and Jeremey Lin with 5 asst. The leading scores for the Hornets were Greivis with 11 asst. The Hornets would go on to win the game 88 - 79. (hornets won)

Looking at these two teams on paper , you wouldn't be able to decide who would win this game because the two teams are equally equipped with the same level of talent. In the first quarter of the game the Chicago bulls surge out to a commanding lead of 33-22 out scoring the bucks in the first quarter. The second quarter the Bucks attempt to fight back out scoring the Bulls 27-24. The second half the Bucks come out ready to play out scoring the Bulls once again 31-23. In fourth quarter it was all the Bucks they out scored the Bulls for the third straight quarter 23 to 16. The second large game of the evening was a battle in the Western Conference. The Los Angeles Lakers vs San Antonio Spurs. The Lakers have been struggling all season because of there "old age" and there ageing of there team but tonight was the night that they could bounce back and try to get the win even though the team is battling alot of injures.  The first quarter both teams came out with great energy, but the Spurs took the first quarter out scoring the Lakers 24-17. In the second quarter the Spurs came back out , out scoring the Lakers 30-28. The Second half the Lakers came back ready to command the lead but they were a little short the Spurs out scored them by one point 31-30. The lakers knew they were behind so they fought back out scoring the Spurs 30-23 , but that just wasn't enough. The Leading scores for the Spurs Tony Parker 24 points and 6 asst. Last night was a great night for the NBA, there were a lot of interesting match-ups. The first key match-up was the MIAMI HEAT VS INDIANA PACERS. The Miami heat have the record of 23-10 but have struggled a great deal with winning match's during the middle of the season. The Indiana pacers have a record of 21-14. The first quarter of the game the Indiana pacers out scored the Miami heat 20 to 19. The second quarter the Miami heat towers back out scoring the Indiana pacers 23 to 22. The second half the Indiana pacers out score the Miami heat 25 to 15 . The fourth quarter the Miami heat try to come back but it just wasn't enough 20 to 20. BCS Championship Game 2012-2013

So today is the day that we all get to see how good the Fighting Irish are. There the only NCAA football team that is undefeated and there headed to the BCS Championship game. The Fighting Irish are 12-0 and the Crimson Tide (Alabama) are 12-1. Alabama is returning to the BCS championship game again. The first quarter begins with the Crimson Tide coming out ready to play, posting 14 points in the first quarter and the Fighting Irish not having a response. The second quarter the Crimson Tide come out again with another 14 points and the Fighting Irish once again don't have a response. Second half, the Fighting Irish come out ready to fight back once Alabama obliterated them in the first half the put up 7. In the third quarter the Fighting Irish proceeded to try to fight back but it wasn't enough. Key players for Notre Dame were Everett Golson passing 270 yards and 1 touch down , Theo Riddick had 10 carries for 37 yards , and Davaris Daniels had 6 receptions for 115 yards. Key players for Alabama A.J. McCarron had 264 yards for 4 touch downs, Eddie Lacy had 20 carries for 140 yards and 1 touch down and Amari Cooper had 6 receptions for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Crimson Tide (Alabama) would go on to win it 42-14.

The next match- up of the evening was the Cleveland Cavaliers vs Chicago Bulls. The entire season the Chicago bulls have struggle all season because of the absence of Derek Rose but they still a great record being 19-13. The Cleveland Cavaliers haven't had everything on there side but they still have been able to pull out a record of 9-28. The Cleveland Cavaliers come out the first quarter of the game ready to play out scoring the Chicago Bulls 30-22; second quarter the Chicago Bulls step up there game and gain the lead out scoring the Cavaliers 31-20. The Second half the Bulls come out ready to play out scoring the Bulls 35 to 22 and the domination by the Bulls continued to the 4th quarter out scoring the Cavaliers for the the third straight quarter 30-20. The leading scorers for the Cavaliers were Dion Waiter 18 points, Tristan Thompson 8 rebounds , and Kyrie Ervin 6 asst. The leading scorers for the Chicago bulls were Carlos Boozer with 24 points. The next match-up of the evening was the San Antonio Spurs vs New Orleans Hornets. The San Antonio Spurs have triple the wins that the New Orleans hornets have (27-10) and (9-25), which means this game would be destin for the the Spurs to literally obliterate the Hornets. The Hornets come out at the beginning of the game ready to play and ready to prove that they are a play-off wothy team, out scoring the Spurs 24-19  and in the second quarter again 25-22. In the second half the Spurs come out ready to play out scoring the Hornets 24-21, but the hornets come back in the fourth quarter out scoring the Spurs 23-25. Today was another interesting day for the NBA, starting off with the first match-up of the after noon. The Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Washington Wizards. The 26-8 Oklahoma City Thunder and the 5-28 Washington Wizards shows that this game is probably going to be a domination by the Oklahoma City Thunder. The first quarter the Wizards out scored the Oklahoma city Thunder 20 to 30 and the second quarter the Oklahoma City Thunder came towering back, out scoring the Wizards 33 to 21. The Second half The Wizards came out in the 3 rd quarter dominating the Oklahoma City thunder 25 to 20 and in the fourth quarter , The Oklahoma City thunder tried to fight back,out scoring the Wizards in the fourth quarter 26-25 but it just wasn't enough for the win. Leading scorers for the Oklahoma City Thunder were Kevin Durant who had 29 points. Leading scorers for the Wizards were Emeka Okafor with 12 rebounds and A.J. Price for 5 asst. The 17-17 Boston Celtics and the 23-11 New york Knicks show that this game could possible go anyways because of the 6 game difference. The Boston Celtics come out at the beginning of the game with a fight to them showing the entire NBA that they can beat a young energetic team such as the Knicks. The Boston Celtics out score the Knicks 22-21 in the first quarter.Second quarter the Knicks come towering back out scoring the Celtics 35-31. Second half the Celtics come out ready to play out scoring the Knicks 23 to 16, and in the 4th quarter the Celtics continue there momentum out scoring the Knicks 26-24. Leading scorers for the Celtics were Paul Pierce with 23points and 6 asst, Kevin Garnett with 10 rebounds. Sunday Basketball January 6 (NBA) (part 1) (key match-ups)

Today was a big day for the NBA.  Heat vs. Wizards match-up this afternoon was a very interesting match-up. The heat 23-9 and the Wizards 4-28, showed that the Wizards were probably going to get blown out. The heat dominated every quarter of the game starting in the first quarter. The Heat out scored the Wizards 27-19 , second quarter 25-25, third quarter 17-16, and the fourth quarter 30-11. The game leaders on the Heat were Ray Allen with 20 points and 6 rebounds (off the bench), Lebron James 24 points and 7 asst. and Udonis Haslem with 12 rebounds . The game leaders for the Washington Wizards were Kevin Seraphin with 14 points and Emeka Okafor with 9 rebounds. The heat would go on to win 99-71 giving the Wizards there 5th straight lost. Second half, in the third quarter the Thunder out score the Raptors 26-17 and in the fourth quarter the thunder out scored the Raptors by one point 26-25, the Thunder go on to win it 104-92. Today, there were a number of games all across the NBA and NFL. Today in the Nfl there was a interesting match-up between the Indianapolis, Colts and the Baltimore, Ravens. The colts quarter back Andrew Luck threw for 288 yards and had one interception. Other key players in the game were on the Ravens offense Anquan Bolding 5 receptions for 145 yards and 1 touch down and Bernard Pierce 13 carries and 103 yards. Once baltimore had gone up 10 to 6 in the second quarter they never looked back. They dominated in the third quarter 3 to 7 in the third quarter and carried it on to the 4 th quarter winning 9 to 24 (final). (Ravens won)
 The next Nfl game for today was the Seattle, Seahawks and the Washinton D.C, Redskins. The game leaders were Russell Wilson who threw for 187 yards and scored one touch down , Marshawn lynch who had 20 carries and rushed for 132 yards and scored 1 touch down and Zach Miller had 4 recptions for 48 yards. The Redskins leaders of the game were Robert Griffin III who had 84 yards passing and scored 2 touch downs, Alfred Morris had 16 carries for 80 yards and Pierre Garcon had 4 receptions for 50 yards. The Redskins scored 14 points in the first quarter and never scored the rest of the game. The Seattle, Seahawks didnt score in the first quarter but from then on dominated the rest of the game. Robert Griffin III left the game in the 4th quarter becasue of a lingering knee injury. The final score of the game was 24 to 14 (final). (Seahawks won)
