NBA REPORT (January 7,2013)

Today was another interesting day for the NBA, starting off with the first match-up of the after noon. The Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Washington Wizards. The 26-8 Oklahoma City Thunder and the 5-28 Washington Wizards shows that this game is probably going to be a domination by the Oklahoma City Thunder. The first quarter the Wizards out scored the Oklahoma city Thunder 20 to 30 and the second quarter the Oklahoma City Thunder came towering back, out scoring the Wizards 33 to 21. The Second half The Wizards came out in the 3 rd quarter dominating the Oklahoma City thunder 25 to 20 and in the fourth quarter , The Oklahoma City thunder tried to fight back,out scoring the Wizards in the fourth quarter 26-25 but it just wasn't enough for the win. Leading scorers for the Oklahoma City Thunder were Kevin Durant who had 29 points. Leading scorers for the Wizards were Emeka Okafor with 12 rebounds and A.J. Price for 5 asst. The thunder would lose 101-99 breaking the Wizards 5 game losing streak. (Wizards won)

The Next game of the after noon was the Boston Celtics vs New York Knicks. The 17-17 Boston Celtics and the 23-11 New york Knicks show that this game could possible go anyways because of the 6 game difference. The Boston Celtics come out at the beginning of the game with a fight to them showing the entire NBA that they can beat a young energetic team such as the Knicks. The Boston Celtics out score the Knicks 22-21 in the first quarter.Second quarter the Knicks come towering back out scoring the Celtics 35-31. Second half the Celtics come out ready to play out scoring the Knicks 23 to 16, and in the 4th quarter the Celtics continue there momentum out scoring the Knicks 26-24. Leading scorers for the Celtics were Paul Pierce with 23points and 6 asst, Kevin Garnett with 10 rebounds. The Leading scorers J.R. Smith 24 points , Tyson Chandler 17 rebounds, Jason Kidd with 6 asst. The Celtics get the win 102 to 96 with the absence of Rajon Rondon. (Celtics won)
