What will happen to Michael Sam's NFL expectations and career?

Michael Sam, the only openly gay football player, was released Saturday as the St.Louis Rams made final cuts for their 53 man roster, to begin the regular season. Michael Sam had already made history as he was the only openly gay player drafted by a NFL team. He then made it into the books again, as he was the first NFL openly gay player to be cut.  Last week Sam seemed as if he had positioned him self to make the Rams final roster, but the team had different views. Now what will happen to Michael Sam?  Coach Fisher had remarks to add Saturday, " I will tell you this: I was pulling for Mike, I really was, And I don't say that often, Mike came in here and did everything we asked him to do." Michael Sam has made his mark in the NFL without, playing in a NFL regular season game. What is next for runner up SEC defensive player of the year? Saturday the view of Sam being moved to the Rams practice squad was another possibility. But will he be picked up by another NFL team by the start of the regular season?  I guess we will just find out. (NFL regular season begins this thursday September 4th)
