NFL WEEK 5

Sunday, The NFL entered week 5 of the regular season and there were a lot of interesting match-ups. The First key match up of the day were the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS vs CINCINNATI BENGALS. The Patriots came into this game 4-0 on the season, and wanted the match-up Sunday against the begins to be win number five. The Bengals came into this game 2-2 on the season. The Bengals knew, if they wanted to win against the Patriots, they were going to have to play "The game of there lives". In the first quarter both teams would struggle, both not being able to convert any points. Second quarter the Bengals would come up with a successful drive down the field, that would result in a 39 yard field goal by Mike Nugent to put the Bengals up 3-0. The following drive the patriots would convert, with Stephen Gostkowski kicking a 42 yard field goal to tie both teams up 3-3 at the end of the half. Second half both teams would struggle, but the Bengal's would take advantage of a scoring opportunity, with Mike Nugent kicking a 50 yard field goal to give them the lead 6-3 at the end of the third quarter. Fourth quarter the Bengals would to take full advantage of their scoring opportunity and Benjarvus Green- Ellis would run 1 yard to get the first touchdown of the game putting the Bengals up 13-3. The Patriots would answer back with a scoring drive of there own, up the field and Stephen Gostkowski kicking a 19 yard field goal. The Bengals would go on to win it 13-6.

The second match-up of the day was Sunday Night Football, HOUSTON TEXANS vs SAN FRANCISCO 49 ers. The Texans came into this game with a 2-2 record on the season and there sure of issues with in there team on the offensive side of the ball. While the Texans defense was ranked number 1 in the NFL after last weeks performance against the Seattle Seahawks, there offense had been anything but number one, but the texans wanted to show America,on Sunday that their offense was just as worthy for the award as the defense. The 49 ers came into this game having mixed emotions on how their season has gone thus far and why there team had a 2-2 record leading up to this game. First quarter the 49 ers would dominate on the offensive and defensive side of the ball scoring 2 touch downs. Termaine Brock of the 49 ers would intercept a 18 yard pass and would return it for a touch down giving the 49ers the lead. The Following drive for the 49ers, running back Frank Gore would rush for 1 yard to give the 49 ers there second touch down of the game. Second quarter the Texans would continue to struggl , but the 49 ers offense would continue to thrive, with Anthony Dixon running for a 2 yard touchdown, making the score at the end of the half 21-0. Second half the Texans would come out with a sense of urgency and would be able to convert , with Randy Bullock kicking a 41 yard field goal, to help the Texans cut into the defecit of 21-3. The following drive the 49 ers  Phil Dawson kicked a 38 yard field goal to extend the 49 ers lead back to 21. Fourth quarter the  Texans would continue to struggle, but the 49 ers would bounce back. 49ers receiver Vernon Davis would receive a 64 yard pass from Colin Kapernick for a 49 ers touch down. The Following drive Texans, would come up empty, and  the 49 ers would struggle as well, but would be able to convert with 49 ers kicker Phil Dawson kicking a 24 yard field goal. The 49 ers would go on to win it 34-3.
