NBA SEASON OPENER (2013-2014)

Tonight has been a roll coaster night in the NBA starting the evening off with the INDIANA PACERS vs ORLANDO MAGIC. The pacers came into this game, last season going all the way to the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Since making there finals appearance and getting beat in the series by the Miami heat the pacers have had a rocky pre season. This preseason hasn't been as great as for the pacers as there record would be 2-5. The magic last year had a a disappointing season as they would be the worst team in the league. The magic wanted to get this season off to a great start having a decent preseason going 2-5. First quarter the pacers would get out to a early 5 point lead, as they would out score the magic 23-18. Second quarter magic would battle back into the game taking the lead, out scoring the pacers 26-17 to end the half. Second half the pacers came out very strong, out scoring the magic in the third 29-20. Fourth quarter the pacers would out score the magic, adding to there lead 28-23. Leading scorers for the pacers were Paul George with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 ast., Roy Hibbert with 8 points and 16 rebounds, and Lance Stephenson with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 ast. Leading scorers for the magic were Andre Nicholson with 18 points and 4 rebounds, Maurie Harkless with 14 points and 1 rebound, and Victor Oladipo with 12 points, 3 rebounds and 2 ast. The Pacers would go on to win their season opener 97-87.
 Tonight's second match-up of the evening was the much anticipated meeting between the MIAMI HEAT and the CHICAGO BULLS. The heat came into this game as the three time NBA Champions, with winning two titles in a row (2012 and 2013). The heat had a decent pre season as they would end it with a record of 5-3. The bulls came into this season losing to the heat, the past three seasons in the playoffs, cutting there playoff goals short. The bulls would have an outstanding preseason as the team would end it with a record of 8-0. First quarter the bulls would surge out into a early lead but would get caught by the end of the quarter, as the heat would out score the bulls 17-15. Second quarter the heat would extend there momentum resulting in a 37-18 run by the end of the second quarter ending the first half. Second half both teams would come out battling very hard, but the bulls would out score the heat 25-24. Fourth quarter the bulls would make a come back out scoring the heat 37-29 in the fourth. Leading scorers for the heat were Lebron James with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 ast., Chris Bosh with 16 points and 6 rebounds, and Dwyane Wade with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 ast. The Miami Heat would go on to win the season opener against the bulls 107-95.
