MLB SUNDAY

Today's first match-up of the day were the NEW YORK YANKEES vs DETROIT TIGERS. The Yankees came into this game with a record of 1-4. The Tigers came into this game with a record 3-2. First inning both teams would come up empty. Second inning the Tigers would come up empty for the second inning and a row, but the Yankees Suzuki, Cervelli, and Nix would score 3 runs for the Yankees, putting them up 3-0 to the tigers. For the third through Seventh inning both teams would score zero runs keeping the score 3-0 till the beginning of the Eighth inning. Eighth  inning the the Yankees Suzuki would  hit a fly ball to right field to bump Nunez in adding a run the Yankees score making it 4-0, later Wells of Yankees would all score for the Yankees making the score 5-0, but the Tigers wouldn't score any runs in the eighth. Ninth inning the Tigers would come up scoreless, but the Yankees Nix and Gardner would come up big for the Yankees getting 2 important runs in for the Yankees. The Yankees would go on to win it 7-0.

Today's second match-up of the day were KANSAS CITY ROYALS vs PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES . Both teams came into this game starting off there season 2-3 which mean this was probably going to be a great match-up. First inning the Phillies Revere,Rollins,Utley, and Young would score 4 runs for the Phillies giving them a strong lead ahead of the Royals, the Royals wouldn't score in the first. Second inning both teams would come up empty. Third inning the Royals Getz and Gordon would come up big for the Royals scoring and getting them 2 very important runs , making the score 4-2. Fourth inning both teams would come up empty . Fifth inning Royals ,Butler would hit a ball to center(home run) bumping home runs from Getz, Gordon, and Escobar, putting the Royals up 6-4, the Phillies wouldn't score in the fifth. Sixth inning Royals, Gordon and Shields would bump in another 2 runs for the Royals, making the score 8-4, the Phillies wouldn't score in the sixth. Seventh inning both teams would come up scoreless. Eighth inning the Phillies would come up scoreless again , but Royals Dyson would get another run in for the Royals making the score 9-4. Ninth inning the Royals would come up empty .
