NCAA SATURDAY

The first match-up of the evening were the WICHITA STATE SHOCKERS vs  LOUISVILLE CARDINALS. The Shockers came into the NCAA tournament as a number 9 seed and were not predicted to make it to the sweet 16, but they had defied all odds and made it to the Final Four. The Shockers came into this game with  record of 30-8. The Cardinals came into the NCAA tournament as a number 1 seed overall in the entire tournament. The Cardinals came into this game with a record of 33-5. First half the Shockers came out very strong, out scoring the Cardinals in the first few minutes 8-0, but the Cardinals would come back and would take the lead 9-8 in the next few minutes, by the end of the half the Shockers would have won the battle in the first half out scoring the Cardinals in the first 26-25. Second half the Shockers came out very strong getting a 12 point lead on the Cardinals with 13 minutes to go, but the cardinals would prove to be to much for the Shockers, out scoring the Shockers in the second half  47-42. Leading scorers for the Cardinals were Russ Smith with 21 points ,2 rebounds, and 3 ast. and Chane Behanan with 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 ast. Leading scorers for the Shockers were Clearanthony Early with 24 points and 10 rebounds and Malcolm Armstead with 2 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 ast. The cardinals would go on to win it 72-68.

The Second match-up of the night were the SYRACUSE ORANGE vs MICHIGAN WOLVERINES . Both of these teams came into the NCAA tournament as number 4 seeds, so they weren't expected to get past the sweet 16 or elite 8, but they had defied all odds and had made it to the Final Four. The Syracuse Orange came into this game with a record of 30-9. The Michigan Wolverines came into this game with a record of 30-7. First half both teams would be neck and neck, but by the end of the half the Wolverines went on a run, out scoring the Orange 36-25. Second half the Orange would battle back scoring 31 points and out scoring the Wolverines 31-25, but it wouldn't be enough. Leading scorers for the Orange were C.J. Fair 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 ast. and Brandon Triche 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 8 ast. Leading scorers for the Wolverines were Tim Hardaway Jr. with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 ast. and Mitch McGary with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 ast. The Wolverines would go on to win it 61-56. (Syracuse guard Michael Carter-Williams playing the Syracuse zone defense to try and block Michigan Guard Trey Burke's shot. )
