NCAA Tournament (Men's )/ NBA THURSDAY


Tonight’s  NCAA Tournament (Men’s ) match-up of the evening were the  MIAMI HURRICANES(2) vs MARQUETTE GOLDEN EAGLES (3). The Miami hurricanes came into the NCAA tournament as a number 2 seed. The Miami hurricanes record coming into this game was 27-6. The Marguette Golden Eagles record coming into this game was 23-8 . The Eagles came into the tournament as a number 3 seed. First half the Golden Eagles came out very strong outscoring the hurricanes in the first 29-16. Second half the Hurricanes would make a attempt to catch back up, out scoring the Golden Eagles in the second half 45-42. Leading scorers for Hurricanes were Shane Larkin with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 ast. Leading scorers for the Golden Eagles were Jamil Wilson 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 ast. The Golden eagles would go on to pull the upset beating the Hurricanes 71-61. 
 
Tonight’s second match-up of the evening camefrom the NBA. The NBA match-up of the evening were the INDIANA PACERS vs DALLAS MAVERICKS. The Indiana Pacers came into this game, getting a win over the Houston Rockets in the Wednesday Night match-up March 27th. The Pacers were a number 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, and they came into this game with a record of 44-27. The Mavericks came into this game trying to stay alive in the Western Conference. The Mavericks came into this game knowing they are 2/3 spots out of a Playoff spot in the Western Conference, they were hopeing this would be the game that would put them back on track to make the play-offs. The Mavericks came into this game with a record of 34-36. First quarter the Pacers got out to a early lead out scoring the mavericks in the first 23-18. Second quarter the Mavericks fought back, out scoring the Pacers in the second 23-18. Second half the Pacers came out very strong out scoring the Mavericks in the third 34-17. Fourth quarter the Pacers continued there great play of basketball out scoring the Mavericks 28-20. Leading scorers for the Pacers were Paul George with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 ast and Roy Hibbert with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 1 ast. Leading scorer for the Mavericks were Dirk Nowitzki with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 ast. The Pacers would go on to win it 103-78.
