MLB THURSDAY

Tonight's first match-up of the evening were the NEW YORK YANKEES vs COLORADO ROCKIES. The Yankees came into this game with a record of 19-13. The rockies would come into this game with a record of 19-14. First inning both teams would come up big. The yankees Wells would hit a single to right, center field helping Nix get a run in. The Rockies Gonzalez would hit a fly ball to center helping Fowler get a run in, making the score 1-1 at the end of the first. The Second and third inning both teams would come up empty. Fourth inning the rockies would come up empty, but the yankees would take advantage of that. The yankees Stewart would hit a fly ball to center, to help Nelson score. Fifth inning the rockies would come up empty again, but the yankees would score. Cano would hit a home run to right field, making the score 3-1 at the bottom of the fifth. Neither team would score the rest of the game. The Yankees would go on to win 3-1.

Tonight's second match-up of the evening were the MINNESOTA TWINS vs BOSTON RED SOX. The twins came into this game with a record of 15-15. The red sox came into this game with a record of 21-13. Both teams would get out to a slow start, with both teams not scoring in the first two innings. Third inning the twins would come up empty, but the red sox would come up big. Red sox Pedroia would hit a single to center, to help Victorino get a run in for the red sox, making the score at the end of the third 1-0. Fourth inning the twins would come up empty, but the red sox would score. Drew of the red sox would hit a single to center, to help Nava score. Fifth inning redsox would come up empty, but the twins would try to battle back into the game. Hicks of the twins would hit a double to right, helping Arcia score, making the score 2-1. Sixth inning the twins, would get three crucial runs in from Mauer, Morneau, and a homer from Arcia to knock in him self and Plouffe. Later in the inning the red sox would get a well needed run in from Napoli, making the score 5-3. Neither team would score after the sixth. The twins would come from behind to win it 5-3.
