MLB WEDNESDAY

Today's match-up of the day were the SAN DIEGO PADRES vs BALTIMORE ORIOLES. The padres came into this game with a record of 17-21. The orioles came into this game with a record of 23-16. First inning both teams would fall short, not scoring any runs. Second inning the padres would come up big, Baker would hit a single to right field, and would help Gyorko and Amarista get two important runs, helping the padres get out to a early lead. Later in the inning the orioles would have a answer, the orioles, Hardy would hit a home run to left field, putting the orioles on the bored, making the score at the end of the second 2-1. Third inning both teams would come up empty. Fourth inning the padres would get two important runs. Blanks would hit a home run to left field. Later in the inning Venable would hit a double to right field helping Amarista get home and score. The orioles would also score in the fourth, Wieters would come up big, hitting a home run to right field, making the score at the end of the fourth 4-2. In the fifth inning , both teams would come up empty. Sixth inning the orioles would come up short, but the padres would take advantage, Quentin would hit a single to right field, helping Cabrera score, making the score at the end of the sixth 5-2. Seventh inning the padres would come up big, Amarista would hit a home run to center, helping Blanks score as well. Later in the inning the orioles would respond, and Jones would hit a single to left field, and Machado would score. Eighth inning both teams would come up empty. Ninth inning the padres Cabrera would hit a single to right field and Gyorko would score. Later in the inning the orioles would answer, and would try to make up the deficit, wit Markakis hitting a double to right field helping Machado score for the orioles. The orioles would come up short and the padres would go on to win it 8-4.
